About us

Hello and welcome to Southwick Players — bringing live theatre to the heart of the community since 1935.

I’m Debbie Creissen, and I’m very proud to be President of this incredible group. The company celebrates 90 years of storytelling, teamwork, and unforgettable theatre. From powerful plays to comedies and magical pantomimes, we’ve been entertaining local audiences for generations. And we’re always embracing new ideas, technology, and talent. Southwick Players continues to grow as a vibrant, modern theatre company.

We’re a registered charity based at Southwick Community Centre, performing in the much-loved Barn Theatre. Everything we do is not-for-profit and powered by volunteers who bring talent, creativity, and commitment to every production.

It’s not just about the spotlight though. Our backstage crew, tech team, workshop members, directors, producers, and many others all help bring each show to life. They are the heartbeat of what makes us special.

Whether you’re a performer, a tech whizz, curious to learn, or fancy helping behind the scenes, there’s a place for you here. Take a look around, see what we’re working on…

And if you like what you see, we’d love to welcome you.
